I edited the image and after feedback from my class used the black and white image, i also added an anchorage which explains what the image is about and finally changed the colour of the quote layered on top of the image from black to white so that it stood out more.

i did a class survey to see which one people prefaired, the feedback was colour - 9 and black and white - 10

people prefaired to black and white image as it reflected her 'unhappy' mood better which is spoken about in the article.

i think it looks much more like a conventional music magazine double page spread now i have added a quote and made the text smaller. i also think i could improve editing the image to make it look more proffessional.

i think that the text for the interview is to large therefore to improve i am going to make it smaller, i think it would also look better with a quote inbetween the interview which is from something she has said during it.

fonts and images

i decided to use the second font as i thought it matched my chose genre as it looks different and unusual.

both of these images (above and below) had good facial expressions and matched the mood of the article but the image had to be portrait and when cropped would be too close up.

i liked the pose of the image as she looks confident, and not very bothered about having her photo taken,but the facial expression is too nice and happy.  

again, like the previous image i like her pose, and i think the facial expression matches the mood of the atricle as she looks quite sad. the choice of clothing is also good as she looks individual and the tshirt is looks vintage and old which is what most indie music lovers wear. Also, the location is good as it is in her own home and it hasn't been made any nicer or tidied up for the occasion which shows her lack of interest in being a part of the crowed.

i created the image to the left which is an album cover for a made up band to add to my contents page, i then added the image to the right which i took in the photography studio and thought it fit in with the look of the magazine.

to make my magazine look more conventional i got rid of 'subscribe today' as that belonged more on the editors page, i added more information to the articles to give the audience more to want to read later on in the magazine. i also added two more images as a contents page tends to have more than one imageand gave them captions which included page numbers and information on what will be talked about in the articles. Finally included the mast head of the magazine above the heading 'contents page' to add to the house style.
